Anthony Bilic Stepping-Up

Everyone loves an underdog, and boy is Anthony Bilic one feisty dog! Aussie drift aficionados will be familiar with Anthony, as he’s been drifting his Nissan Silvia S13 locally for around 12 years. However, while he is certainly no novice, this weekend he’s set for his biggest challenge to date.

 The International Drift Challenge is the largest drift event in Australia, and Anthony is ready to step-up to his first truly international event and take on some of the world’s best when the event is held this weekend as part of the World Time Attack Challenge.

Anthony’s chosen weapon is a Nissan’s S-chassis. A platform that has long been a favourite of drifters. And while Anthony’s S13 example probably isn’t going to be the highest-powered vehicle on track this weekend, you can be sure he ain’t bringing no knife to a gun fight. 

Sitting under the battle-scarred carbon hood is an angry S15 200sx-spec SR20DET.

The engine sports fully forged internals and is force-fed by a GCG Turbos First Gen GTX3071R – a combo that is good for 340kW at the wheels.

The tyre-blazing power makes its way towards the rear of the car via an RB25DET gearbox and R33 GTS-T Nismo two-way diff, before hitting the pavement with a set of clean Lenso Project D Spec E rims. Nestled behind the wheels on all four corners are trick twin-calliper brake kits which are available from Anthony’s business – Drift Racing Industries. 

The electronic brain of the operation is a Haltech Elite 1500 ECU which is mated to a Haltech IQ3 Dash and a whole swag of sensors by a Haltech off-the-shelf harness.

Up front, providing maximum lock is a Drift Racing Industries steering and suspension kit featuring KS Racing coilovers and Max drop knuckles.

All fab work on the S13 has been done by Kustomkraft Fabrication, and it has been given a coat of fresh warpaint, especially for this weekend thanks to Prowraps and Graphics.

Anthony might be heading into his international debut as an underdog, but trust us – some of the big dogs should be worried about his bite.
