With Joe Signorelli behind the wheel and with the help of Haltech Platinum Sport, the GAS Celica has just set a new World Record smashing Rod Harvey’s week-old record by 2/100th of a second.
Testing for the Fuchs Nationals at the Sydney Dragway, the 2JZ-powered Celica run a blistering time of 6.38@223mph, instantly becoming the World’s Fastest Sport Compact.
“The car felt good, but there was still some tyre shake,” said Joe, “I think we can still go faster!”
