The development of the Hyundai Genesis 2.0T Pro Plugin is nearing completion with the ECU scheduled for release in early 2012.
“This product has been particularly challenging,” said Nathan Clark – Haltech’s General Manager, “it’s been a long time coming, but we are now confident this ECU will satisfy the market demands. There is a definite hole in the Genesis tuning market, which the Haltech ECU will fill.”
The Hyundai Genesis Pro Plugin ECU is in its final stages of endurance and reliability testing, with a USA Beta testing already underway.
“We know the Genesis community is eager to get their collective hands on this ECU,” added Mr Clark, “and I want to assure them that it will be well worth the wait. Stay tuned!”

i’m a fabricator interested in making parts that will be capable of significantly increasing power on both the 2.0L and 3.8L genesis drivetrains and having a viable tuning solution is crucial to taking advantage of the full potential of the parts i’m aiming at building. please keep me informed of any updates to this as they become available. cheers.

Testing of the Genesis ECU is still on track for release in two months time.
The ECU is designed for the Theta 2.0T Manual transmission only and the unit will come pre-programmed with a turn key basemap for the standard engine. We have only tested this ECU on the 2009-2011 models so far.
Support for the 3.8L engine will depend on interest we receive.
We will have more information available on the ECU as we get closer to the release date.
