Mike Jovanis conquers True Street at Bradenton

Driving a Haltech powered Mustang, Mike Jovanis secured a win in True Street class at the NMRA Spring Break Shootout, held at the Bradenton Raceway. This was Mike’s 6th year of attending the race and he placed 2nd in 2011,2012, and 2013. This year he walked away with the big trophy.

“It felt great to win in True Street this weekend after having gone through some tough times last season.” said Mike. “That race with no question has the most competitive field and would normally be very difficult for a NJ racer to win because we have to dig our trailers out and head down with no testing.”

“Our Haltech Platinum Sport 2000 performed perfectly over the weekend.”

Mike’s first pass off the trailer was  [email protected] He then backed it up with a new personal best of [email protected] In True Street following the 30 mile cruise and in worsening track conditions the car managed three clean passes: [email protected], [email protected] and [email protected] Mike’s three-run winning average of 8.31.

“I would like to thank Haltech for the support both on and off the race track for the past year. It was great being pitted with you guys in the vendor midway, not only did we gain a great engine management system but we’ve become good friends with the Haltech crew!”

Mike’s combo consts of a DiSomma Racing Engines 347, Forced Inductions ETR HO T4 88mm turbo, Hughes PG. The still has a a working radio and all street equipment and, in a street trim weighs in at 3400 lbs.
