The third round of the Nulon Nationals championship was held at Sydney Motorsport Park recently. While the main event was a Time Attack on the GP Circuit, there was plenty of action happening off-track too!

The pit area featured a show and shine, put on in conjunction with the guys from Tuned and boasted an impressive array of much sought-after vehicles.

One such vehicle that caught our eye was this super clean Holden VH Commodore .

Gone from the engine bay is the old 202ci straight six, and in its place, a shiny RB provides plenty of go for this old girl.

On track – Brian Bugh won the over 3.5L class in his Haltech-powered Corvette. Hooray for Brian!

Haltech_nulon27

Brian muscled the Corvette around SMP to a best time of 1:38.9 on the day, not bad seeing as he was running 2-year-old tyres.

Another impressive vehicle was Darrin Morice’s 2JZ BRZ. What’s there not to like – it’s Haltech powered, runs a 2JZ and sports a wide body kit!

Haltech IQ3 Logger Dash fits nicely in the main instrument cluster and looks great in blue.

Darrin’s PB on the day was a swift 1:45.09.

And looked pretty good while doing it too!

Everyone’s favourite time attack Falcon Ute was out on track with owner, Ian Porter behind the wheel.

Haltech_nulon35

Porter managed a 1:43.793 which we’re sure you’ll agree is pretty good for a hay haulier! Check out our Haltech Heroes video on Porter’s Ute here.

Dale Malone from DM Motorsports had the ex Super GT 300 S15 out on track.

Haltech_nulon25

World Time Attack Champ Rob Ngyuen (of the Mighty Mouse fame) was behind the wheel to help facilitate some testing the team were doing, and managed a best of 1:41.5950 on the day. You can see our Haltech Heroes video on Dale’s rare race machine here
