Trackside: Haltech Weekend Warriors

It was a busy weekend for Haltech powered cars with reports of class wins, event wins and PBs coming in thick and fast. Here’s the rundown:

Mike Jovanis (above) took out the NMRA True Street class at Maple Grove Pennsylvania.

“We finished up a fun weekend with a best of 7.71@180.92 in testing with a few lbs less of boost and 3000 ft air. A 7.96, 7.81 and and 8.55 was good enough for a win and 8.11 average in True Street.”

Bill Lutz (above) proved too strong for the competition at the May Madness. Driving his Haltech-powered Camaro Bill won his second consecutive event proving he’s a force to be reckoned with.

“I need to thank Jay Payso and his crew for putting on a great event and Milan Dragway for giving them a venue where grudge racing can happen. A huge Thank You to all my sponsors for the continued support. I’m proud to run your products on our car.”

For the second year running, Brian Manske (above) won the LS Fest West held in Las Vegas, Nevada.

“It was a good weekend. We had some problems with the track but thanks to Jim Hughes he got it all handled and by Sunday the track was good. We turned the car way down but made it from A to B to take the win for the second year in a row!”.

“Big thanks to all my sponsors, especially Patrick Barnhill from PTP Racing and Haltech engine management systems.”

Jermaine Boddie (Team Boddie Racing) reigned supreme at the No Excuses No Prep in Tuscon, Arizona.

Driving his Haltech-powered Chevy Nova, Boddie took the belt from his big tire contender Giuseppe Gentile.

Buck Jarvis’ “Showmod” OL 10.5 Camaro recorded a new PB with Mark Benston Jr behind the wheel.

“We got a few more bugs worked out of the Show Mod this weekend. With a 4.09@198 we qualified 6th but the car has a lot left in it! Time to get prepared for US 13 No Prep race in a few weeks.”
