Trackside: MPW’s 2000hp Twin Turbo VK Commodore

Adam Rogash from the Melbourne-based MPW Performance is no stranger to big, fast Holdens.

His previous build, a 7-second HSV “NOSHOW” (above) gained its notoriety at the 2016 and 2017 Street Machine Drag Challenge claiming wins in Outlaw Blown and Radial Blown classes respectively.

Adam’s new build “ALLSHOW” appears to be a more civilised beast.

“With this car we really wanted to focus more on a street appeal. We kept most of the interior, I usually have kids’ seats installed at the back!”

The engine is a 440ci, twint-turbo LS built by John Pilla from Powerhouse Engines.

Running two 2200cc injectors per cylinder, the 2000hp engine is capable of propelling ALLSHOW to 7-sec quarters.

The whole setup is managed by a Haltech Elite 2500 + REM combo utilising all of Elite’s advanced race functions. Haltech’s IQ3 Dash keeps Adam informed about what’s going on under the hood.

Despite having to leave last year’s Street Machine Drag Challenge early (his wife was giving birth to his first son!) Adam still managed to finish 3rd outright in a car finished only weeks before the event and barely tested. It’s hard not to be impressed with that effort!
