A racer, a builder, and a risk-taker who pursued his passion for motorsport, transforming a Nissan Micra K11 into one of the most creative and formidable time attack machines in the world. What started as an unconventional platform has become a showcase of engineering precision, speed, and dedication. With support from Haltech and a drive to push boundaries, Young has proven that with the right vision and execution, even the most unexpected cars can be capable of staggering performance.
THE ORIGIN
Eden Young’s journey began with a bold decision to leave the confines of a traditional office environment and immerse himself in the world of motorsports. His automotive passion led him to the Nissan Micra K11, a vehicle not typically associated with high-speed performance. Undeterred by its modest reputation, Young saw potential in the Micra and embarked on a mission to develop the world’s best catalogue of performance parts.
THE CURRENT SETUP
The current setup is very unique, utilising a completely custom twincharged setup running on a Haltech Elite 1500 and iC7 dash, producing over 300 horsepower on the original unopened 1.5 litre Nissan motor. The car also features a 15 button CAN Keypad for various inputs, a PD16 and a TPS module to monitor tire pressures and temperatures. The eventual result, a vehicle that defies all expectations, earning recognition and respect within the racing community.
THE SPICY MICRA
The Spicy Micra gained prominence on the global stage. Competing in various time attack events, he demonstrated that with passion and perseverance that unconventional platforms could achieve remarkable performance.
