Haltech Design a Dash Competition – CONDITIONS OF ENTRY
Background
- The “Promoter” is Lockin Pty Ltd trading as Haltech – 17 Durian Pl, Wetherill Park, NSW, Australia.
- Information on how to enter this “Promotion”, mechanics of entry and prizes form part of these “Conditions of Entry”. Entry into this Promotion is deemed acceptance of these Conditions of Entry.
Eligibility
- The Promotion submission period starts on Thursday, 14 August 2025 Australian Eastern Standard Time (AEST) and ends on Thursday, 11 September 2025 (AEST) (“Promotion Period”).
- The Promotion is only open to “Eligible Entrants”: (a) Who are aged 18 years or older; and (b) Who are not directors, management and employees of the Promoter and its related entities (and their immediate families), printers, suppliers, providers and agencies associated with this Promotion.
Entry Conditions
- To enter the Promotion, an Eligible Entrant must, during the Promotion Period:
a. Create a custom dash layout using the latest public release version of the Haltech NSP Software. All elements of the submitted dash must be functional.
b. Visit the Promoter’s competition entry page (https://hal.tech/DADEF) and fully complete the entry form, including uploading the following:
i. A screenshot or screen recording clearly displaying the custom dash layout.
ii. The corresponding .nexmap file for the submitted dash layout.
- Entries must be submitted into one of the eight (8) official categories:
- iC-7 Race
- iC-7 Retro
- iC-7 Future
- iC-7 Freestyle
- uC-10 Race
- uC-10 Retro
- uC-10 Future
- uC-10 Freestyle
- By submitting an entry, Eligible Entrants agree to these Conditions of Entry for the Promotion. Entrants may enter multiple categories and may submit multiple entries per category. Each entry must be unique.
- There will be eight (8) “Finalist Winners”. From these eight, one (1) “Grand Prize Winner” will be selected. This Promotion is a game of skill; chance plays no part in the selection of Finalists. The Grand Prize Winner is selected via a public vote.
Judging and Winner Selection
- Finalist Selection: Between Monday, 15 September 2025 and Friday, 19 September 2025, entries will be judged by a panel of Haltech representatives. One Finalist will be chosen for each of the eight (8) categories based on creativity, functionality, aesthetic appeal, and adherence to the category theme.
- Grand Prize Winner Selection: The eight Finalist entries will compete in a sudden-death tournament run via a series of official polls on the Promoter’s Facebook page. The tournament will consist of quarter-finals, semi-finals, and a final round, held between Saturday, 20 September 2025 and Tuesday, 23 September 2025. The winner of the final poll will be declared the Grand Prize Winner.
- Notification: The eight (8) Finalist Winners will be notified by email by 5:00 pm AEST on Friday, 19 September 2025. The one (1) Grand Prize Winner will be notified by email on Wednesday, 24 September 2025. Winners and Finalists will be announced via a post on the Promoter’s Facebook Page and Instagram Account. All reasonable steps to notify the winners will be taken. All decisions are final and no correspondence will be entered into.
Prize
- The eight (8) Finalist Winners will each receive a prize corresponding to the category stream of their winning entry:
- uC-10 Category Finalists (4 winners): Each will receive 1 x Haltech uC-10 Dash, valued at AUD$2,950.00 inc GST.
iC−7 Category Finalists (4 winners): Each will receive 1 x Haltech iC−7 Dash, valued at AUD$1,695.00 inc GST.
- The one (1) Grand Prize Winner will receive the honour of having their winning dash design included as a default screen layout in a future public release of the Haltech NSP Software. This prize is an honourary title and has no monetary value.
- The total monetary Prize value is up to AUD$18,580.00 inc GST. Prizes are not transferable or exchangeable for cash. Prizes must be taken as offered and cannot be varied. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any tax implications that may arise from the Prize winnings. Independent financial advice should be sought.
Intellectual Property
- All entries submitted must be the entrant’s original intellectual property (IP) and must not be a copy or replica of any other individual or company’s IP.
- All fonts used within a dash design must be royalty-free and/or licensed for free commercial use. It is the entrant’s responsibility to ensure they have the right to use and distribute any fonts included in their submission.
- All entrants acknowledge that by submitting an entry into the Promotion, they irrevocably assign and transfer all rights, title, and interest, including the intellectual property, of the submitted dash design (including the .nexmap file and visual representation) to the Promoter.
- The Promoter reserves the right to use, reproduce, modify, publish, and freely distribute any and all submitted dash designs, in whole or in part, in any media worldwide, for any purpose, without further notification, remuneration, or compensation to the entrant.
Notification of Winners and Finalists
- If a Finalist Winner does not respond to the Promoter’s notification to claim their prize within 14 days, the Promoter reserves the right to disqualify that entrant. In the event a Finalist Winner is disqualified, the judges will select a replacement Finalist from the same category, who will then be awarded the corresponding prize. The public vote for the Grand Prize Winner will proceed with the confirmed list of eight Finalist Winners. Any new Finalist Winners will be notified and announced by Wednesday, 9 October 2025.
General Information
- If any prize or element of a prize becomes unavailable for any reason beyond the Promoter’s reasonable control, a comparable prize or prize element of equal or greater value will be awarded in lieu.
- It is a condition of accepting a prize that Winners and Finalists may be required to sign a legal release in a form determined by the Promoter in its absolute discretion.
- The Promoter reserves the right to verify the validity of any and all entries and to disqualify any entrant for:
a. Tampering with the entry or voting process;
b. Submitting an entry which is not in accordance with these Conditions of Entry; or
c. Engaging in any unlawful or other improper misconduct calculated to jeopardise the fair conduct of the promotion.

As a condition of entering this Promotion, an Eligible Entrant consents to, in the event they are a Winner or Finalist, the Promoter using their name, likeness, and entry (including images/recordings of the dash) in any media for an unlimited period without further notification or remuneration for the purpose of promoting this Promotion (including any outcome) and/or any products supplied by the Promoter.
