McClure Motorsport’s Slimer Corvette

McClure Motorsport is a family-run drag racing team based in Western Australia, known for their competitive spirit, technical innovation, and consistent success on the state and national stage

 Founded by Al McClure, McClure Motorsport has become a prominent figure in Western Australia’s drag racing scene. The family based team consists of two cars, their Don Davis Dragster Piloted by Kasey and Slimer Corvette driven by the two brothers Connor and Bailey

 SLIMER is a 1953 Corvette Pro Mod, equipped with a billet small block chev sporting twin 88mm turbos, 2 speed power glide transmission, Mark Williams modular rear end, uC-10 Dash, CAN Keypad and powering it all, a Nexus R5 VCU

On Slimer’s debut in November 2024 the car went 6.34 @ 225MPH setting the national record for AA/APIA, they would go on to reset this record in June 2025 going 6.17 @229MPH at Winternationals in Queensland
